Important Warning:

It is strictly prohibited to import, export, or transit live animals or animal products in or out of Thailand without a permit.

Penalties:

  • Imprisonment: Up to 2 years
  • Fine: Up to 200,000 THB
  • Or both imprisonment and fine

Examples of Prohibited Items:

  • Live Animals
  • Cats
  • Dogs
  • Rabbits
  • Birds
  • Elephants
  • Cattle (Cows)
  • Animal Products
  • Meat
  • Bones
  • Milk
  • Animal Hides (Leather)
  • Eggs
  • Animal Hair/Fur
  • Food products containing animal-derived ingredients

What Should You Do?

If you are carrying live animals or animal products, you must declare them to the Animal Quarantine Checkpoint at Don Mueang Airport.

Location: Terminal 1, near Baggage Carousels 1–2

Legal Notice: Failure to comply will result in legal action under the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015).
