It is strictly prohibited to import, export, or transit live animals or animal products in or out of Thailand without a permit.
Penalties:
- Imprisonment: Up to 2 years
- Fine: Up to 200,000 THB
- Or both imprisonment and fine
Examples of Prohibited Items:
- Cats
- Dogs
- Rabbits
- Birds
- Elephants
- Cattle (Cows)
- Meat
- Bones
- Milk
- Animal Hides (Leather)
- Eggs
- Animal Hair/Fur
- Food products containing animal-derived ingredients
What Should You Do?
If you are carrying live animals or animal products, you must declare them to the Animal Quarantine Checkpoint at Don Mueang Airport.
Location: Terminal 1, near Baggage Carousels 1–2
